Rainy day schedule...remember that in school? Looking out the windows with that longing sensation in you? Its raining here today, but this morning was a bit of a tease.

So some mini updates -

Work - hard, mindnumbing...its either scraping an old house...or powerwashing a garage with wood so old and weathered that it went blackish grey...so the powerwashing removes that with chemicals and you end up looking like you were playing in the paper factory because of the pulp. The scraping is boring as fuck...but at least the radio is on or the iPod is stocked with tunes, and I do like to think alot...and sometimes im able to just not think, and for me that is a good thing.

Life - Ive got my application almost filled out to go back to University. Its a strange thing, most people think im this very confident woman who owns a painting business...has creme of the crop friends, persephone and hubs, etc..and that I wouldnt be afraid or timid about such a thing...but I am...so I procrastinate...but this week the application and such will be sent!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything Else - My stepdaughter is having lots of drama in her life...she has left her boyfriend, the father of her children...we went out to visit her last August outside of Chicago, only to find that that day she had been laid off from her job as a mortgage broker, and to find that her house was broken - busted up by her boyfriend, holes in walls, holes in doors..door frames ripped...like if the cops came in and broke down a door...so skip with me forward in time..to about four days ago when she calls us distraught...she left him...after he ripped her cell phone out of her hands and put bruises on her arms...but..BUT without the boys!!!!!!! You can imagine the distress in her voice...he has the car, the kids, the phone...so she took off to a friends house...Tom is worried about her...im worried about her...I called a battered womens shelter here and talked to a gal about options...like if we just go and get her and the kids...will we get in trouble? will she? I got the numbers of some shelters in Chicago for her...Now its not like we dont want to just go down and get her cause we do, but we also dont want to get in legal trouble and a shelter can help her get the kids and get to a place then we will go and get her..but she has got to get those kids first..she says its a no go on going back to him and making it a family again. I talked to my friend Miller here she is an attorney who does termination of parental rights cases and of course i had talke to her about what me and Tom found at Katies house, and she met Katie...so after along talk we are still at an impasse of some sort...just waiting to hear from her again now that it is Mothers day...to see if she gets the kids or not. Lots of drama though... other than that it is a quiet cool day here in Wiskey-a-consin....
